In 2019 I was hired by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine to join a data collection team traveling to rural areas in the Amhara, Tigray and Oromia regions. While there I photographed families during the collection of data that helps to assess and improve the under-utilization of provided community-based healthcare services for pre and postnatal care. This selection is of my own curation and dedicated to the mothers, families and healthcare workers who may not have always welcomed my camera, but welcomed me only for a day or a few hours of their lives.
